Learning Objectives
The PMI Global Standard: “Requirements Management, A Practice Guide”” states that requirements management encompasses the tasks of establishing a requirements baseline and maintaining traceability, change control, and configuration management. Requirements development encompasses the tasks of eliciting and identifying requirements planning, analysis, documenting or specifying requirements, and validating and verifying requirements”
For this course we will discuss the terminology and the foundations of requirements management, the lifecycles, constraints, and the impact on project, program and portfolio management. It will include standard best practices of requirements planning, gathering, documentation, modeling, validation, change management and verification are all covered. Techniques are applicable to traditional, agile, and hybrid efforts. These will apply to program, project, and portfolio management enabling successful outcomes.
